Rugby Legends Visit

Northern Pirates Rugby Club had the privilege to host the following people :-

Mr. John Allen (Ex Springbok, Scotland Hooker & Chairman of the Rugby Legends in SA),

Mr. Dick Muir (Ex Provincial & Springbok center as well as Assistant Coach for the Springboks during the 2011
World Cup) and Mr. Wayne Fyvie (Ex Provincial and Springbok flanker)

The above people interacted with the NPRC training and gave some valuable inputs and tips.  It was also an
opportunity for them to see the progress that the NPRC has made during the past year and gave them advice
regarding the future plans and projects as well.  The NPRC will be arranging more of these visits and will be
formalizing the Rugby Clinics and training sessions with ex-players in 2013 where all Clubs on the Island will
be invited, and to be hosted at their new facility at Edufields.

Initiation to Rugby

In view of developing Rugby in the region of Quatre Bornes, Rugby Union Mauritius organised a ‘Initiation
Rugby’ at La Source’ field on Sunday 20th May as from 08 hrs 30 to 11 hrs 00.  At least 40 youngsters were
present on that event.  Since then, Michel Jean Pierre, Fabrice Bussier and Patrice Francois are coaching these
players every Sunday at La Source as from 08 hrs 30.

RUM thank you for your attention and wish you all a good continuation.
